In 1996 dealer and long-time SCCS member Lee Quast decided to address the void left when American Bank Note Co. and the U.S. Postal Service ended their production of souvenir cards. He, along with collector John Parker, approached retired BEP printer Mike Bean, who agreed to print some private cards for them. These were sold at some of the smaller paper money shows that Quast attended, where the BEP typically was not present. This venture was active through 2007, but presently only an occasional card is released. All printing data are estimates, courtesy of Lee Quast.
